In 9 months my body shape has changed dramatically, I’m a lot stronger, healthier and have more energy. I still look forward to the sessions as each one is different and there is never any pressure to perform above your ability. Bye-bye globo gym, hello Primal Fitness… finally I have found a form of exercise that works!

My first session was in January 2008 and only went to accompany my girlfriend as she didn’t want to go alone. The session was much better than I expected. The way the classes are designed means there are varying levels of difficulty so people of all level of fitness can complete them. Nearly two years on I still look forward to going to the sessions and I am now as fit as I have ever been (and continuing to get fitter) and have made some good friends in the process. All in all joining Primal Fitness is the best thing I have done since moving to Manchester.

I’d been going to regular gyms for about 10 years, and thought I was training pretty hard and was pretty fit. However, when I started at Primal Fitness I discovered that this really wasn’t the case! Simon and Fernando have taught me how to manage my nutrition for optimal performance, how to balance different types of training, how important it is to rest, and have got me into the best shape of my life. Three years ago I was just about able to finish some of the extreme cross country races that I took part in, and this year (so far!) I’ve taken 1st place in 2 and got PBs in every single one! Primal Fitness really is life changing! Thanks guys!
I’ve long admired the discipline of body strengthening and it wasn’t until Primal Fitness that I got hooked. The classes at Primal Fitness are tough, extremely effective and rewarding all within a friendly group atmosphere. It’s amazing when after a few weeks you look back and notice how much more agile your body and mind has become. My goal was to perform pull-ups like ‘Sarah Connor’. It took my spindly arms 4 months but I did it thanks to Simon and Fernando’s encouragement by always pushing me that little bit harder each time. Next goal, muscle-ups!

Primal Fitness has helped me to focus all of my fitness and general health goals and achieve significant results that other approaches to training have failed to give me in the past. The Primal Fitness community is great for competitive, training and social events, and my life since moving to Manchester has been significantly improved by being involved. Simon and Fernando are committed and knowledgeable in all areas of health, fitness and diet and their continuing improvement to the gym and variety of exercise classes help to maintain my regular attendance. I am a Primal Fitness evangelist, but a few years ago I would never have thought I’d lose weight, gain muscle and be competing in Triathlons and climbing again in my early forties – Thanks Fernando and Simon!
Mike Harris – Computer Programmer
Being an avid hockey player I need to combine excellent speed with stamina and very good hand eye co-ordination. While going to the gym did help me gain the strength I needed it did nothing for my speed or general body co-ordination. Since joining Primal Fitness I have gone from an average third team player at the club to one of the fittest in the club in just over a year. The all-round training from Primal Fitness have helped me by letting me be co-ordinated, strong and much faster on the ball than I ever used to be.
Daniel Bamber – Runner – East Cheshire Harriers
Already running for a club I wanted to find something that was going to improve my times and build up both my combined strength and fitness, areas I was lacking in when I raced. In the space of a couple of months, by just adding one session of GPP per week, in addition to my running training, I knocked off 5 minutes from my 10k race time to sub 41 minutes. I then decreased my running training and did more ‘Primal Training’ and my latest time was 38mins. I think the training you do here of combining both strength and cardio based workouts along with good dietary advice, is the perfect balance in developing not only better running times but a better lifestyle all round.
Primal Fitness has helped me achieve my goals and more. As a regular rock climber, I am climbing harder than ever, injury free and fully motivated. Big thanks To Simon and Fernando for their support and encouragement.

For years I have trained in gyms assuring me their way of doing things will achieve this and achieve that, it’s nonsense, the only place I have come across that actually pushes you to the limit is Primal Fitness, let’s put it this way one of the reasons I moved to Manchester from Macclesfield was that gym, in there you see what you can achieve physically in life and it pushes you to be more effective in other parts of your life, it’s mind changing and in some cases mind bending but it’s all good!
