Training and Activity Related Questions

Q: Are the retreats suitable for all levels?

Yes, the retreats are suitable for all fitness levels.

The Primal Skill Sessions in the morning can easily be tailored from total beginner to advanced, whilst keeping the group together, and working on the same movement skills.

The outdoor activities, are also adaptable for all levels. The area where we go climbing has routes ranging from very easy to extremely advanced. For the trail walk/runs, the group can be split into runners and walkers, and there are options to shorten the route too.

Q: Do I need to bring any specialised clothing or equipment?

No specialist equipment is needed for the event. All you need to bring is:

  1. Trainers – A good pair of trail running shoes should do the job, something like a pair of Inov-8 Trailrocs.
  2. Outdoor sports wear. We’d recommend plenty of layers or light weight, wicking clothing that can be added or removed to keep you cool or warm depending on the weather conditions, plus a wind and waterproof outershell – just in case…
  3. A water bottle or camel back you can carry with you out on the trails.
  4. A pair of warm waterproof hiking boots – despite the sun, due to the high alitute there could well be snow at the top of Muljacen!

Q: Will there be phone/internet connection on site?

There is mobile network coverage in the area, though it may be patchy, and there is also WiFi in the main house where you will be able to connect to check in with home or work if necessary. We’d recommend disconnecting completely if you can, but appreciate that this isn’t always possible!

Q: What if I have special dietary requirements?

All dietary requirements can be catered for. Meals will be served in a buffet style, and it will be easy to serve yourself the foods that fit with your preferred eating pattern, be it anything from strict paleo, to vegan! That said, if you do have any specific allergies, such as coeliac, peanut, seafood etc, please let us know in advance so we can ensure extra care is taken to avoid cross-contamination.

How do I get to the retreat?

The nearest airports are either Málaga or Granada. We can help organise transfers, grouping you with other attendees to make it cost effective. If people arrive on similar flights/are willing to wait, we may also be able to come and collect from the airport.

If you are arriving from another destination, or if you wish to arrive/leave a day early/late, please Contact Us so that we can discuss options.
