Showers
Its been a long time coming, but finally the monkey can get a wash! Work on the shower installation has started, and it should be completed within a week or so. Apologies if there is some minor disruption to the bathroom facilities, though hopefully there should be no problems.
Rehab Clinic
Carole Simcox, a Physical Therapist specialising in sports injuries, saviour to many an athlete and weekend warrior, is coming to Primal this Saturday (6th of February) to give a quick lesson in partner assisted stretching. The course is limited to 20 people, so if you are interested please book early to avoid disappointment.
Primal Q&A
As of next month we are starting a new Primal Q&A session once a month on a Thursday at 18.00. During these sessions we will attempt to answer any of your questions relating to nutrition, training, recovery or primal living. If people can put questions into me in advance either via the suggestion box/email/pm on the forum/in person, then I will post the topics that will be covered in the Q&A session in advance on the notice board/news on the website so people can check if there will be any topics of interest to them. The first Q&A will be on Thursday 25th Feb.
Happy Meat
Primal have just formed a relationship with an excellent local free range farm shop, www.roamingroosters.com They pride themselves in supplying the highest quality, local, grass fed, free range beef, lamb, pork and chicken. In addition to the products on the website, they can also supply more unusual cuts of meat such as offal, pigs cheeks and cow's tongues, along with game meats such as venison, rabbit, pheasant and partridge.
If you order through Primal, and can collect from the gym on a specified date, you will get free delivery, plus 10% of the prices on the website. We will be making at least one bulk order a month (possibly one a fortnight if demand is high enough). Not only is the meat delicious, and great value, the exemplary welfare standards mean its great for the animals and the fact that its local is great for the environment and the local economy. Of course, don't forget the health benefits of grass fed meat - Check out this article HERE.
